Venue

Ca’ Granda has been chosen also for its strong links with the first idea of hospital. Dating back to the Renaissance period under the Sforza family, it was built and organized to be a hospital from the beginning.

The history of Ca’ Granda, its archives, the evolution of the medical instruments, the numerous art masterpieces that have been donated to the hospital througout the centuries, make it a unique location for this seminar. Guided tours may be organized in english language to discover the treasuries of Ca’ Granda. Occasional posts will be published in this website to give you some curious hints and views of the history of medicine.
